In addition to pathogens and bacteria, pet poop contains high levels of nitrogen, which gradually kills grass and other plants. Poop can also cause lawn fungus to grow.
POOP ATTRACTS RODENTS.
Poop is the most common food source for mice and rats in developed areas. Poop also attracts flies and other pests, leading to a host of additional health concerns .
POOP DOESN'T GO AWAY.
Every time it rains, poop is carried away in stormwater runoff into local streams, creeks, and rivers without being treated at sewage plants, resulting in declining water quality.

We founded Number 2 Crew in 2024 in response to a community need for environmentally-responsible pet waste removal. We began learning about the importance of proper waste cleanup after listening to a podcast about the BIG environmental impact of improper waste management. After that, we began noticing more and more abandoned poop piles in public spaces, so we decided to do something about it. Outside of our day jobs as a firefighter and speech therapist, we're growing our poop cleanup business one scoop at a time!
We are long-time residents of Granville along with our two kids and beloved pug, Olive.
